We designed this necklace to support families and individuals with Tourette Syndrome. Our second and fifth children have Tourette Syndrome. It’s been a growing and, at many times, amazing experiences learning about Tourette Syndrome with it’s struggles and even gifts in their lives. We give back a portion of all of our sales to the Tourette Association of America, but a larger percentage from the sale of these necklaces will be donated.

This necklace is made with one 13mm (1/2 inch) disc stamped with the Tourette Syndrome Awareness symbol.

The Details

Gold filled and rose gold filled jewelry contains 100% more real gold than gold plated jewelry. Gold filled jewelry is made with a thick layer of real solid 14k gold. Gold filled jewelry has the advantage of being tarnish resistant and durable. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colors, and can easily be worn by people with sensitive skin.

Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver and considered a precious metal. The remaining 7.5% of the alloy is usually copper, adding strength while preserving the appearance of the pure silver. Sterling silver is also okay for most sensitive skin.

Both sterling silver and gold filled jewelry will tarnish less if stored appropriately – in something airtight – and kept clean and dry. I have found that the more I wear my sterling silver jewelry, the less it tarnishes.

All sterling silver and gold filled jewelry will come with a polishing cloth and all sterling silver jewelry will come with an anti tarnish paper to help with the care of your jewelry purchased through GiGisPetals. Jewelry that tarnishes can easily be repolished and look as good as new!

All of our necklaces come with a high quality lobster clasp.
