“Aren’t they sweet! These 2 have been inseparable since 1st grade. My daughter, (the blonde) is heading to college 8 hours away on Friday. I can’t imagine them being at different schools much less 8 hours away from each other.
People share the best stories about the memories they preserve in our photo lockets.
“I guess I’m as ready as I’ll ever be. Lol. I think this is hitting different because she’s the youngest. I’m going to miss seeing her everyday, she always makes me laugh. It helps that she’s so excited to go. She’s ready even if I’m not.
My goal is to get her there, get her settle and cry all the way home. Lol
Hannah is my youngest, so I’m facing the empty next thing too. These transitions are so hard.” @kimmiebrownie
Kim and I first started chatting a little over a month ago when she bought this antique silver picture locket to give to her daughter’s best friend with pictures of the two of them. Not too long after that she got one for her daughter, Hannah, too.
Hannah is Kim’s youngest, so she and I chatted about what it’s like having your child leave home for the first time (like my oldest did last Fall) and what it’s like having your youngest leave – so much excitement for what they have ahead of them mixed with a little bit of saddness for the closing of the first chapter of their lives.
I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it a million more – motherhood is one of the best things – filled with ups and some downs, but still pretty amazing. 🤞 Goodluck to Hannah and Maddie as they enter this next stage of their lives!💖
